Details
We are a new group of 4 who purchased 'Sassenach' 13th June 2025 (after a Survey was completed) & want to add a 5th person to the syndicate.
Sassenach is a fine example of the legendary 351. Designed with cutting-edge engineering for its time and built for comfort, the Beneteau Oceanis 351 is a capable cruiser ready to set sail to any destination with ease. Its streamlined hull ensures exceptional manoeuvrability both under sail and power, while the combination of a long waterline, wide beam, and a bulb keel with winglets offers excellent stability and performance through the waves.
The deck layout is thoughtfully designed for ease of handling, featuring a false deck cowling that neatly conceals halyards and control lines, which are led aft to self-tailing winches beside the companionway. With furling on both the main and genoa, sail management is effortless, allowing for stress-free cruising. The cockpit remains uncluttered, with sheet tracks mounted on the coachroof to provide ample space for movement.
Step inside the spacious interior and enjoy a warm, inviting salon with a large wooden table surrounded by a comfortable U-shaped settee perfect for socialising or converting into a double berth for guests. The well appointed galley is thoughtfully positioned at the yachts widest point, maximising space and functionality. Fixed ports, multiple opening hatches, and skylights flood the interior with natural light and ventilation, creating a bright and airy living space.
The Oceanis 351 boasts an expansive cockpit designed for both comfort and safety, complete with teak covered seating for a luxurious touch. From the helm, the skipper has clear visibility of navigational instruments and effortless access to engine controls, which are protected by a Plexiglas panel. A hinged aft seat allows direct access to the transom and a generous bathing platform, complete with a cockpit shower for ultimate convenience.
Sassenach has been maintained to a high standard. She is in great condition for her age.
If you are looking for a cruiser that combines ease of handling, spacious living, and exceptional sailing performance, this 1998 Beneteau Oceanis 351 fits the brief perfectly.
